Nadeem Noon Educational Scholarship

Six $250 Scholarships will be awarded by a drawing held at the Area VIII Annual Meeting. The Area VIII Adult Rider Program will reimburse funds used towards education (lessons, clinics, camps) up to $250.00. Recipients must use the funds by December 31 of the next calendar year (an expiration will be on the Voucher Award).

Six, $250 education scholarships will be awarded on February 5th, 2023 during the Annual Awards Banquet.
A drawing will be held February 5th at the Area 8 Awards Banquet – six, $250 scholarships.

In memory of Nadeem Noon, the Area VIII Adult Rider Program will award six $250 scholarships to help promote volunteerism in Area VIII. These Scholarships are named in honor of Area VIII’s beloved Nadeem Noon who was inspirational instructor to so many of Area VIII’s adult riders. Nadeem was recipient of the 2014 Cornerstone Instructor’s Award.

Requirements:

  • The applicant must be a current member of both the USEA and the Area VIII Adult Rider Program.
  • The applicant must do a minimum of 10 hours volunteer work directly related to USEA Area VIII. 
  • Volunteer hours can include volunteering during a USEA Area VIII Horse Trial, organizing or volunteering at an Area VIII Adult Rider clinic, hosting an Adult Rider Social or mini educational activity, organizing the Area VIII Silent Auction, or anything for which Area VIII requests volunteers. The hours must be recorded and signed off by the volunteer coordinator, show organizer, or organizer for that activity. Volunteer hours are not transferrable. 

The $250 Scholarships will be awarded by a drawing held at the Area VIII Annual Meeting. The Area VIII Adult Rider Program will reimburse funds used towards education (lessons, clinics, camps) up to $250.00.Recipients are ineligible to receive this scholarship in back to back years.
